Agriculture and agribusiness
Make sure what you grow turns into cash you collect.
I help agribusinesses and agtech companies tighten how revenue runs: from the first buyer conversation to the money in the bank, across sales, field operations and finance.

What I look at
Six views of the work.
Before any engagement I map the regulators and rules that apply to your sector in Ghana. This is a first look, not legal advice.
- Buyers and pipeline
- Who is buying, what has been promised, and how many orders are real.
- Offtake and pricing
- Whether agreements are written, prices are reviewed, and one buyer holds too much of your income.
- Invoicing and collections
- How fast you invoice, how long buyers take to pay, and what gets chased.
- Input credit and recovery
- Seed, fertiliser or cash advanced to farmers, and how much comes back at harvest.
- Forecast and handoffs
- Whether sales, field teams and finance work from the same numbers.
- Records, data and rules
- Buyer, farmer and sales records: who owns them, whether you could get them back, and the rules that apply.
Every sector
Data protection applies here too.
Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) covers organisations that hold personal data about people. Here that means farmer records, buyer contacts, field and delivery records, and the phone numbers collected for payments. Organisations that hold such data generally need to register with the Data Protection Commission. Confirm your own position with the Commission or a lawyer.
I look at four things:
- What personal data you hold, and where it lives
- Who can open it, and whether that list is current
- Whether you could get it back after a lost laptop, phone or account
- What you would do, and who you would tell, after a breach
This is a first look, not legal advice. A lawyer confirms your exact duties.
